Duravit announced that its new bathroom furniture collection, "Ketho," designed by Christian Werner, will be
 unveiled April 14-19 in Milan at the Salone Internazionale del Bagno. The company refers to Ketho, the "Inipi" sauna by EOOS, the "PuraVida" range by Phoenix Design and the "2nd floor" collection by Sieger Design as "living bathrooms" that embody modern bathroom culture.

Trends In Bathroom Products And Features
The American Institute of Architects
(AIA) Home Design Trends Survey for the fourth quarter of 2009 found that residential architects continue to report declining business conditions. Bathroom design has been somewhat more modest and the focus is more on functionality, energy efficiency and universal design. Here are index scores on bathroom products and features computed as the percentage of respondents who reported increasing minus those who reported decreasing popularity.
Water-saving toilets: 63% in 2009 vs. 57% in 2008
Radiant-heated floors: 52% in 2009 vs. 50% in 2008
Accessibility and universal design: 50% in 2009 vs. 52% in 2008
LED lighting: 49% in 2009 vs. 41% in 2008
Doorless showers: 47% in 2009 vs. 50% in 2008
Hand showers: 36% in 2009 vs. 45% in 2008
Linen closet/storage: 29% in 2009 vs. 25% in 2008
