Delta and the Meredith
Corp. hosted a reception in Oak Park, IL, in August to announce the winners of the Des igners of Tomorrow
contest, which invited students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to
propose an original, innovative use of one or more Delta brand products in a
residential environment beyond the traditional kitchen and bathroom

The Architecture
Billings Index (ABI) was up almost six points in July, according to the American
Institute of Architects. The July ABI, which was 43.1 vs. 37.7 in June, still
indicates a decline in demand for design services. Any score above 50 indicates
an increase in billings. The new projects inquiry score fell to 50.3 in July
vs. 53.8 in June, but was the fifth straight month with a score above 50. More on

Zoeller Co. launched a new Web site for the corporation
and the four brands in the Zoeller family of water solutions. New logos for all
of the brands were unveiled at the new site, initiating a new branding project.
Chicago Faucets is offering contractors the chance to earn
dollars that turn into tools by participating in its "Gear Up!" program, which
runs Aug. 17 to Nov. 30, 2009. The program offers rewards for purchasing
specified products from a local Chicago Faucets distributor. Read more.
Dornbracht said it is refocusing on its core
product line following a fire that struck its Iserlohn, Germany-based corporate
headquarters and production facilities last month. More on this.
Quick Drain USA, a linear slot drain
manufacturer, said it received the Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas
listing from the International Code Council - Evaluation Service. The Bureau of Construction Codes developed the enhanced
acceptance method. Effective July 1, 2009, Quick Drain USA is listed under Division 15 - Mechanical, Section
15120 (Plumbing Specialties) for being in compliance with all 2009 codes.
The
Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating announced that CIPHEX will offer a
series of trade shows across Western Canada
this fall. The 2009 Roadshow kicks off in Winnipeg Oct. 22, then travels to Saskatoon (Oct.
27), Regina (Oct. 29), Edmonton
(Nov. 3) and ends in Vancouver
(Nov. 5).

designers and architects simplify the design process and create highly

Caroma unveiled its newest high efficiency toilet: the Sydney Smart back outlet (pictured left). It is dual flush and WaterSense labeled.
SGS Consumer Testing Services said it has become one of the first independent licensing bodies authorized to test and certify bathroom sink faucets and high-efficiency tank-type toilets for compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense water efficiency and performance standards.
 Ken Bradenbaugh, an inventor and engineer, has invented
TrilogyPack (pictured right), an eco-friendly packaging system for water heaters and other cylindrical products that are traditionally packaged in containers that do not conform to the product outline, such as water purification systems.
Shelton Group
announced Green Living Pulse will be available Aug. 21. It offers a
comprehensive look into the mindsets, personalities and motivations of
green product buyers, revealing the messaging that resonates best with
all consumers on the green spectrum.
The Plumbing Manufacturers Institute (PMI) adopted a new position statement advocating the efficient use of water while also maximizing consumer choice on water-saving products.
