How
I Beat This Stinking Recession
Eric W. Wiedenmann, president/founder
of Market Development Group, shared his strategy for coping with the economic
downturn in a recent e-newsletter.
1. Focus on providing research, roadmaps and revenue
generation services to growth sectors such as solar energy, green/LEED
certification, geothermal heat pumps, tire recycling, medical devices and
windpower.
2. Continue a focused marketing
program. This includes: Web site development and search engine optimization;
focused direct mail campaigns; newsletters; an e-mail marketing campaign;
teaming up with other professionals and service providers.
3.
Keep a positive attitude, work out more to reduce stress, go the extra
mile for colleagues and clients, ask for referrals and keep a "nifty 50" target
client list.
