One of the neat things about the recent Thanksgiving Day
holiday is how it brings people together into the kitchen. The luscious aromas and cozy warmth in that room entice and enfold us. The kitchen will remain a focal point in the house through the holiday season — so how is that kitchen looking? Does it need some updating, something new? According to statistics from the National Kitchen and Bath Association, there were 7.6 million kitchen remodels in 2007, up 200,000 from 2006, as reported by
Kleber & Associates. In spite of the housing slump, homeowners are investing in professional-grade options for the kitchen, such as high-performance, energy-efficient appliances, flooring and lighting. |
