Laufen’s Mimo collection was awarded a
2009 red dot award for best product design in the bathroom fittings category.
Mimo, called the “Mini Cooper of the bathroom fleet,” features scaled down
sinks, toilets, vanities and a small bathtub, illustrating that big things come
in small packages.

earlier this year at the ISH trade fair,
and was impressed with its dynamic styling and appeal to a changing mindset of
maximizing smaller spaces.
There were more than 11,000
submissions from 61 countries for this year’s international red dot design
award. It is divided into three categories: “red dot award: product design,”
“red dot award: communication design” and “red dot award: design concept.” The
award-winning products are put before an international audience in the red dot
design museum.
